Our Top 100 Clubs poll is back and it’s bigger than ever with over 600,000 votes gathered globally for this year’s rankings. Every April, DJ Mag staff undertake the mammoth task of tabulating your votes — which span 36 nations, dozens of languages and every continent on earth — to find which venue has hit the No. 1 spot. In 2019, Brazil’s Green Valley has come out on top for the fourth time, with the venue’s impeccable programming and lush rainforest location proving irresistible to voters. The usual suspects from clubbing capitals like Berlin, Ibiza and London have all made the ranking, plus newcomers from far-flung locations in Central Asia, Australia and the Middle East. Techno originator and Detroit legend Juan Atkins also fronts this month’s jam-packed issue to discuss the return of his Cybotron project (page 22). Elsewhere we take a deep dive into what’s happening Down Under, speaking to key figures fighting to keep Australia’s festival scene alive (page 80). A dreamy trip to Envision Festival in Costa Rica is also a highlight of our April issue, as we discover why wellness and electronic music are made to work in harmony (page 82).

Finally, the sudden death of The Prodigy’s Keith Flint rocked the entire dance music community earlier this month, proving no one is immune from the insidious effects of depression and anxiety. If you ever feel alone or helpless be sure to speak to someone — experts are on hand at the National Hopeline Network 24 hours a day. You can contact them on 1-800-442-4673. After all, our scene is one based on the ideals of peace, love and unity so let’s look after each other the dancefloor… and beyond.
