The year is whizzing by already, and in the global dance music calendar the spotlight falls once again this March on Miami. Miami Music Week (MMW), as Winter Music Conference (WMC) time has become known as in the Florida state, involves a shedload of parties, some sunshine networking, and is rounded off by the mammoth Ultra Music Festival, still at Bayfront Park after all these years.
DJ Mag will once again be in attendance during MMW, which has undeniably regained its relevance in recent years. Our pool party is at the Sagamore on Collins on the Wednesday (20th March), in association with Epic Pool Parties, and we’ve again pulled in a top-notch line-up for the festivities. Joseph Capriati, Masters At Work don Louie Vega, Chloé Caillet, AQUTIE and Ms. Mada will join sensational Dutch duo ANOTR (pronounced ‘another’) on the bill. ANOTR have soared exponentially in recent years,
as our cover story — expertly told by DJ Mag’s Amy Fielding — sets out from page 70 onwards. The other pool party artists are profiled from page 83 onwards, and we also list all the other top parties during MMW (p98), and suggest 10 artists to check out at Ultra Music Festival at the weekend (p101).
